Woodlands Edge is Herefordshire based company and works closely with schools and youth groups across Herefordshire and South Wales. We provide individually tailored woodland sessions for young people and adults. Our woodland programmes aim is to boost self esteem and help learners reach their potential through positive engagement with the education process, increasing confidence, group awareness, healthy activity and fun. Woodlands Edge prides itself on its committed and friendly and experienced staff team, All woodland leaders hold a current first aid certificate along enhanced DBS. The aim of all the staff team is to provide everyone who visits a positive and special experience that will last a life time.

Woodland Parties

Tracking, Knives Axes, Games, Dens and fires Recommended age 6 – 12 years. This is our most popular party with boys and girls alike. The party has a woodland survivors theme. We camouflage ourselves with face paint, go exploring, make dens, play games and have a campfire.

Green woodworking Spoon Carving Workshops. We also run Spoon carving workshops aimed at adult beginners from 10 till 3 learn carving techniques, different types of wood for carving. Max 5 adults £35 per person.

Mini Medics

This is a very basic introduction to First Aid for all children and aimed at children between the ages of 8 and 11, but it can suit children of any age. The course is kept at a basic level with no use of confusing terminologies. The course will show complete respect for the child’s ability, make it educational and practical, and instil the importance of helping someone who is poorly or injured.

Mini MTB ers

Our Mini MTB’ers is our coaching group for kids. We meet on Saturday mornings during term time for 2 hours at the Forest of Dean and focus on delivering core skills and riding techniques. The sessions focus on delivering the skills needed to ride a Mountain Bike including braking, cornering and riding position etc for beginners, eventually leading on to more advanced techniques for the more experienced.
